The Places We Go

Over the holidays, I visited New Zealand, a country with the most stunning scenery on the planet. We drove around the South Island in a motor home stopping at all the big locations, and all the fantastic walks. While driving around lakes, up mountains, and through the dense forest, an idea popped into my head...Instead of sitting here like a sloth, how about I put my mind to work and write a poem. Anyway, this is what I managed to come up with:

Places to go and things to do,
Oh New Zealand, how beautiful are you?
Snow capped mountains and a pristine lake,
The beauty even photoshop cannot create

Glistening Fiords of a bold blue
All of the deep, dense forests I've driven through
With majestic mountains so high
They touch the cloudless sky

Places to go and things to do,
Thank you New Zealand,
For I've had a wonderful time visiting you.
